Historic Changes – Singer Island Real Estate Then and Now

The Palm Beach Post has a great new feature on their website that allows you to look at past issues of their newspaper right online like looking through microfiche at the library.  They have used a service provided by Google to scan in and archive electronic version of all their past issues.  I recently did a search of Singer Island Real Estate.  Take a look at what I found.

Today you can view the news online or have it delivered to you home.   Letters to the Editor are now more along the lines of blogs on personal websites.  Joe Costa used to write a newsletter for Singer Island called Singer Island Reel Happenings.  It has been mentioned in the Palm Beach Post many many years ago.

What a fascinating thing to find!

So You Want to Move to Singer Island…But…

January 22nd, 2010 by Dermot OBrien No comments »

So you’ve found an awesome piece of Singer Island real estate that you absolutely love.  You can’t wait to move in or maybe this Singer Island condo is just a vacation home, but your kids are giving you a hard time.  Don’t they know that Singer Island, FL is as close to paradise as you could possibly get?  So your kids are afraid there isn’t anything to do here or they are afraid they won’t make kids quickly enough. But you can actually say to them that there are plenty of things in Singer Island for young people to do.

Just about every Sunday there are groups of people who play Ultimate Frisbee on the beach.  They bring goal posts, water, chairs, and friends.  Some of the younger people play while others sit back watch and mingle.

There is also a volleyball group that plays here too.  So when you decide to buy a condo in Singer Island you’ll be able to say to your kids, “Of course there are things to do.” and “Of course you’ll make friends quickly.”
